Get To Know An FCW Superstar: Seth Rollins

Hailing from Buffalo, Iowa, Seth Rollins, also known as Tyler Black on the independent wrestling scene, has quickly moved up the ladder of pro wrestling since his debut in 2005 with, now defunct, Scott County Wrestling.  Starting out under the name "Gixx", Rollins quickly won the promotion's heavyweight title before moving on to IWA Mid-South where he won the promotion's light heavyweight title.  Making a name for himself in such promotions as Full Impact Pro, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Rollina soon debuted at Ring Of Honor wrestling.

Forming the stable "The Age Of Fall" with Jimmy Jacobs and The Necro Butcher, Rollins immediately mad an impact with the controversial incident that involved hanging Jay Briscoe from the apparatus that had been used during the "Man Up" pay per view. For roughly three years Rollins was in high profile feuds with The Briscoes, Austin Aries, Nigel McGuinness, Jimmy Jacobs, Roderick Strong, and many others winning the Ring of Honor tag team championships twice and the Ring of Honor world title once. Eventually, Rollins would get the attention of World Wrestling Entertainment, signing a developmental deal during the summer of 2010.

Upon his debut at WWE's developmental promotion, Florida Championship Wrestling, Rollins was quickly put on the fast track to stardom, winning the tag team championship, the FCW 15 tournament and having a great match with another soon to be a huge star, and recent Get To Know profilee Dean Ambrose(AKA Jon Moxley

News broke earlier this week that Rollins will be hitting the road with the WWE after the holidays, and like many others I was ecstatic at the news. While Rollins is not biggest superstar, he has honed his craft to near perfection and fits the mold of a seemingly new direction of having guys who actually know how to wrestle rather than just look good in tights that the WWE seems to be moving in. Hopefully we will get to see Rollins have great matches with the likes of other great WRESTLERS like CM Punk,Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes, and numerous other great performers who know the importance of being able to tell a story within matches. I have no doubt that when Rollins finally debuts he will make a splash as he has everywhere he has went. The future is indeed bright.
