*Spoilers* Smackdown & NXT Review 2/28/2012

‎*Spoilers* Smackdown & NXT tapings from Seattle, Wa 2/28/2012

Disclaimer: I dont usually watch Smackdown. I find it to be boring most of the time when I do watch, and last nights tapings were no different. Being there live made the show a bit better, but for the most part it was flat in my opinion. I would really like it if Jesse Arnold and Andrew Yount would comment on this post with their view of this show as their opinions may differ. But until then, this is Smackdown & NXT as I saw it.

1. Dark Match: Ted DiBiase vs Hunico

I really dont get why WWE refuses to push DiBiase. He is a good worker with a great look. But thats not a decision the fans get to make, never will.

Oh, and Hunico's bike is sweet as all hell.

Winner by Pinfall: Ted DiBiase

The Raw Review 2/27/2012

1. We start the show with a face to face between Punk and Jericho.

Jericho says he's part of a dying breed of Superstars. Didn't we get this same promo from Taker and Triple H last week?

Punk says that Jericho is jealous of him because he is the top dog and a bigger star than Jericho ever was. Jericho responds saying he returned to embarrass Punk.

Punk continues by saying he was born to be a wrestler and Jericho is too busy writing books and being a rockstar to truly be the "Best in the World".

CM Punk: "I was swimming with sharks while you were dancing with the stars". Line of the night.

These two have played off each other so well and I know that they will be trying to steal the show on April 1st.

Daniel Bryan comes out for the next match and attacks Punk before the bell.

TNA Impact Wrestling Liveblog!

Marking Out From My Couch: Misc. Etc.... Yeah, I've been gone for a bit.

So, there has been a lot going on. Some of you may have picked up on the fact that my old podcast is up and going again (The Drunk Show), but not an excuse to ignore the blog. Back back again!

Your Royal Rumble Winner: Sheamus

Well hello there left field, didn't see this coming from you. Sheamus was a dark horse winner for me in what was an overall lackluster show. WWE in essence just trolled us all with the Jericho build up only to have him lose in the final two with Sheamus picking up the victory. Good for Sheamus though, glad to see he is going to get the nod and get a title match against the same guy that he got bumped off the card with last year. I hope Bryan and Sheamus put on such a good match they make the entire company regret bumping them last year.

The Raw Review 2/20/2012

 1. Eve starts the show by revealing that she is indeed a whore, and she was never into Zack Ryder. You know its bad when even the Bella sluts think you're a Ho. Eve says that now she will turn her attention to John Cena.

All this is brought to light, just as Cena walks into the shot revealing that he is onto her little ruse.

2. John Cena walks to the ring with Eve following right behind. Eve apologizes and claims she didn't mean to be such a dirty, disgusting, brutal, bottom feeding, trash bag hoeski.

Ding Dong Vince Russo's Gone

The Prince of Something On a Pole Match, The Pulverizer of Wrestling Promotions, The Bastard of Booking,  and The Dean of Unnecessary Dance-offs, all nicknames for Vince Russo that I made up in the last 10 seconds to convey exactly how I feel about the guy. Granted, I have never met Vince Russo, for who may be the nicest guy to walk the earth. However, I do know that there isn't one person who has failed upward in the wrestling world as much as him and while doing so has done more damage to my favorite entertainment source than possibly anyone.

There are some people who will read this and say, "HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTITUDE ERA!", those people refuse to realize that while he may have something to do with the Attitude Era, he wasn't a major player in making guys like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mankind, and many others stars. Those guys would have become what they are with or without Vince Russo's ideas being filtered by Vince McMahon.

Send Jesse Sorensen Get Well Wishes

This is a short post asking you to send TNA Impact Wrestling's Jesse Sorensen some get well wishes on Twitter, Facebook, or snail mail at Jesse Sorensen P.O. Box 560272 Dallas, TX 75356. He broke his neck for our entertainment and whether you're a fan or not you have to respect that. I'll be sending him a card tomorrow, probably. If can spare three bucks for a card and a stamp I ask you do the same.

The Raw Review 2/13/2012

1. We open with an Elimination Chamber debate. Oh brother...

Punk, Truth, Ziggler, Miz, Jericho, and Kofi take turns boring the hell out of the crowd. This segment is a train wreck. Then we get to what everyone wants, Punk and Jericho. Lawler tries to get the Jericho/Kingston match underway, but Y2J is more interested in getting into it with Punk and turns right into 'Trouble in Paradise' by Kofi.

Note To Wrestlers: You're Not MMA Fighters

As I have said many times here, I am fairly new to the independent wrestling scene. I am not going to lie to you and say I have been watching guys like Davey Richards, Low Ki, Eddie Edwards, or any other independent wrestler who's style is based off of Japanese "strong" style for a long time. However, since I have started this blog I have tried my best to pay attention to as much wrestling as possible, and one thing seems to garner the most attention and admiration on the independent scene is guys who work as stiff as possible, like the gentlemen mentioned above, use legitimate MMA style maneuvers and seemingly have little to no regard for the guys they are working with in the ring.

I totally understand that wrestling is, even when guys are using the utmost precaution in the ring, brutal and unforgiving.  However, I also understand that the guys in the ring are following a script and usually go to great lengths to make their violence look as painful as possible while inflicting as little pain on each other as possible. This isn't the 60s, 70s, and 80s where the legitimacy of pro wrestling was in doubt, but still believed to be real. The cat is out of the bag, the genie is out of the bottle. There is no going back.

Just Listen: Killer Mike's Ric Flair(Updated)

I may be a little late to this track but finally the rap industry recognizes wrestling's greatest mack in Ric Flair. A nice jam from Killer Mike, there is soundbites from the greatest wrestler to strut down the aisle. While this is a great track, it has a long way to go for it to be Macho Man's "Be A Man Hogan". Enjoy

The Raw Review 2/6/2012

1. Triple H out to start the show by telling the world that he wont face the Undertaker because he "feels sorry for him".

Hunter basically says that Taker is WWE's version of 'Old Yeller' and needs to call it quits.

Q&A with NWA Hollywood's Christian Cole

Going from the East Coast to the West, I had the opportunity to interview NWA Hollywood's very own Christian(Xtian) Cole and decided to find out a little about how life as a manager is in the world of wrestling. I have always been a huge fan of a good manager, whether they want us to hate or love them a good manager needs to do one thing and that is to get us care about the guy they're managing. Managers are like seasoning on a steak. Sure, an unseasoned steak will fill you up, but with the right seasoning you're gonna remember that steak. Mmmmmm steak..Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the interview, I know I did.

PTC: Give us a little back story on who you are, where you have been, who trained you, and how long you have been doing this.
CC: Christian Cole, trained by David Heath (Gangrel) and JR Fatu. Started training in Jan of 2009.

Just Watch: WWE's New Youtube Shows

WWE, taking a cue from Zack Ryder, has partnered with Youtube and decided to make webshows involving various superstars. The first video is a Tosh.0 type of show by the name of WWE Download with Dolph Ziggler dissecting various Youtube videos and shows more of Dolph's personality than a short promo on Raw. More Dolph is good
