Get To Know An FCW Superstar: Leo Kruger

The reigning FCW champion, Leo Kruger has been in the wrestling business since 1998. While not as well known as our first two Get To Know profilees in the states before coming to WWE's developmental territory, Kruger made his name in the South African wrestling promotion, World Wrestling Professionals, home of another FCW, and current WWE superstar Justin Gabriel.

Marking Out... From My Couch: 2011 Year End Awards

You'll have to excuse my absence, I meant to begin writing here when the site first opened, however several lengthy work weeks and Shadow of the Colossus got in my way. I'm samx1605 and I will be writing the column "Marking Out.... From My Couch." I figured the easiest way to show my thoughts on pro-wrestling at first was to do my end of the year awards. Sadly, we just got ROH in my town less than 2 months ago so this list is going to be pretty much all WWE or TNA, for that I apologize.

Let's get to this, shall we?

Make 'Em Famous(er): Truth Martini

When the announcement came down that Ring of Honor(after being dropped by HDNet) was going to be available in my area after Sinclair Broadcasting bought (probably) the biggest independent wrestling promotion in the United States I was, of course, psyched. More wrestling is always welcome on my television(even TNA/Impact Wrestling) and I have heard a so much about ROH from the internet about how ROH is home to the best WRESTLING in the states bar none. As soon as I saw the first show I knew everything I had heard about it having the best wrestling was absolutely true. Despite having some problems, that I wont get into here, ROH , from  a pure wrestling standpoint is head and shoulders above everyone else in the States. However, as I have continued to watch ROH there has been one person in particular who has caught my eye, and my ears, more than anyone else. That one person is Life Intervention Expert Truth Martini.

Classic Just Watch: Price Check On Jackass

This scene is a supermarket brawl between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Booker T that some would say is and example of how damn good Stone Cold is, and they would be right, but if you can't see the the brilliance that is Booker T then I suggest you get your eyes checked. Just watch and enjoy.

WWE Raw Liveblog/Chat Extravaganza!

Note To Wrestlers: Quit Telling Me What You're Bad At

Imagine you're trying to sell something to someone. Now, you're not going to tell the potential customer "Well, this product isn't the best. It doesn't do this and it  doesn't do that, but it does this really well." because if you draw attention to perceived negatives the potential customer isn't going to fork over their hard earned money to buy your product. No, you're going to focus on what the product does really well, and even kinda stretch the truth about just how good it is at what it does to get the potential customer to put money in your pocket.  Common sense stuff, right?
Apparently, the next generation of wrestlers skipped wrestling school the day they were teaching that. I say that because, and he isn't the first nor will he be the last, Daniel Bryan cut a promo that made me think "Why the hell did they put a title on this guy?" instead of "Damn, I want to see more of this guy!" Now, I know that Bryan is on a short list of guys who can have a great match with a mop so, of course, when a match between him and Dolph Ziggler(AKA The Guy Who Makes Everyone Look Fantastic) is announced I'm going to watch because I know I am going to get a great match.

Just Watch: Jack Swagger's Topless Q&A

It seems more and more wrestlers/superstars are going the web-series route to try get their personality out there more, and Jack Swagger is no different. Swagger is someone I have always loved to hate. His personality reminds that of a Biff Tanned relative. Just a good heel. In this video Swagger does a Q&A with questions from Twitter while shirtless.  Simple premise but entertaining nonetheless. Enjoy.(quality of video sucks because I am not a computer genius and I wasn't able to embed it from the the site.)

WWE TLC PPV Liveblog/chat

Time for one of the most brutal PPVs WWE has to offer. There should be at least 4 "He might actually be dead!" moments. Decent card,  and there is a small chance John Cena won't show up at all tonight(If so, those personal issues are big) so the internet will sleep peacefully for the first time in a long while.

Just Watch: MidCard Mafia

Here is a series of videos from Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins that is filled with pro-wrestling insidery goodness that takes aim at some pretty big names in the industry who are currently on featured on Monday Night Raw(Rare) and Friday Night Smackdown(Splatdown). If you get most of the stuff that is said you'll enjoy it. If you don't, then it'll just look like a crappy cartoon.

Part 1

How The Attitude Era Hurt The WWE

I was roughly four years old when I began to watch wrestling in the mid-80s, and what captured my attention was the characters that would fill my television screen. Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, Junkyard Dog, King Kong Bundy, The Rockers, Legion of Doom, Ultimate Warrior, and so on, were some of the characters that made wrestling appointment television for me every Saturday night and Sunday morning.  I remember getting so excited when I heard the Ultimate Warrior's theme song that I would jump up and beat my chest like he did until it hurt. All I knew about the Ultimate Warrior was that he was....a ultimate warrior. I didn't know that his real name was Jim Hellwig or that he wasn't actually from Parts Unknown. He was just a badass who ran to the ring and smashed fools.

Smackdown! Liveblog/Chat Extravaganza!

Welcome, Again

Why did we move? Because I want to be able to post a live chat on my blog and wordpress' oppressive, draconian laws made it impossible. I know this will be an inconvenience to the 0 of you who have bookmarked the old page and routinely checked it for updates.
